This White Dove sampler is a small selection from a much larger piece created by Marietta Stebbins (1791 – 1820) of Deerfield, MA. The characteristics of the motifs suggests the sampler was worked under the tutelage of one or a handful of schoolmistresses in the Deerfield area during that time. The kit comes with everything needed to complete the 7” x 7” piece on 28 count linen using cross stitch. It is a simply lovely piece in shades of gold, pink, blue, green, tan, and brown. Made in USA.
